Dear Friends,
We hope this finds you and your family safe and healthy.As you may be aware, Julie Silbermann will be stepping down as TBA President (again!) at the end of February. Julie, who previously served as President from 2013 to 2017, graciously agreed to another presidential term at a particularly challenging moment for TBA. Her wisdom, talent, dedication, energy, and certainly time, have ensured that our synagogue has remained vibrant, welcoming, safe, and financially sound throughout the period of the covid pandemic. Our gratitude is hard to put into words.
But…that is exactly what we’re going to try to do! We are creating a virtual tribute journal to honor Julie and celebrate her retirement as our Temple President, and we’d like to FILL it with messages from TBA congregants and friends. The journal will go live shortly, and we will watch it grow between now and March 3, when we will honor Julie at a Shabbat dinner at the Temple.
