The issues facing the LGBTQ community have always been close to my heart. From the first revelation of a close friend's sexuality as a teenager to having a transgender family member, it is clear to me as an ally, that their concerns are our concerns. Our sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts are this community. The LGBTQ community is our family.
