The Feigins very much value a strong Jewish education complimented with rigorous secular instruction and feel that YBH has provided that and more to each of their children. They are grateful to YBH for helping to educate each of their very different children “k’darco” and dedicating the resources to truly give each child what s/he needs to grow into true Torah Jews. In 2016, the Feigins generously commissioned a Sefer Torah for YBH. The Hachnasas Sefer Torah was a wonderful celebration of their commitment to supporting Torah education at our yeshiva.
YBH is proud to have seen two Feigin boys successfully go on to mesivta high schools and to currently have four Feigin girls in attendance at our school.

Parents of the year
Daniel Krich grew up in Los Angeles and attended Yeshiva Gedolah of Los Angeles. He then studied at Yeshiva Toras Moshe in Israel before returning to America and attending Yeshiva University. After graduating, Daniel earned his medical degree from Touro. He completed his residency in pediatrics at UMDNJ and in July he will be completing his fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at Westchester Medical Center.
Rachel was also born in California and grew up in both Santa Fe, NM and New Jersey. She attended Stern College for Women and received a Master of Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Rachel is the Executive Director of the Shorefront Jewish Community Council in Brighton Beach - a social service agency providing assistance to low-income seniors and Holocaust survivors.
Rachel and Daniel moved to Fair Lawn from Washington Heights in 2007 and are very active in their community. They are members of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Fair Lawn and feel very lucky to be raising their children in such a positive and growth-centered environment under the auspices of both Rabbi Benjamin Yudin and Rabbi Andrew Markowitz (also a YBH parent!). Rachel has served as Sisterhood President and currently is the VP of Membership on the Shul board. Daniel is a gifted Bal’ Koreh and lains almost every Shabbos.
At the time the Krich family moved to Fair Lawn, no students from the community were attending YBH. Rachel and Daniel investigated local schools and found YBH to be an excellent option, true to its wonderful reputation. They enrolled their children and have been a part of the YBH family since 2012. Currently have three children attending YBH;. Ariella is in the girls’ division in middle school, Aryeh is in the boys division in 4th grade, and Shoshana is in Pre 1-A in the Early Childhood Division. Rachel and Daniel are thrilled with the amazing individualized education that each of their children is receiving at YBH.
YBH, for its part, is tremendously grateful to the Krich family for their instrumental role in helping to grow the Fair Lawn contingent of students attending YBH.

Dr. Kra has long followed in his family’s footsteps in his involvement with the Jewish community. In his college and graduate school days, he served in numerous Jewish campus organizations and ran the New England Region of NCSY. Subsequently he has served on the boards of several shuls and he is a proud board member of One Israel Fund.
Mrs. Ruth Pfeffer Moskowitz Kra originally hails from Woodmere, New York, where she was an architectural designer and strategic planner for major national and international architecture and interior design firms. After 9/11, Ruth switched gears and decided to give back to the community. By obtaining a graduate degree in general and special education, she resumed her involvement with Jewish youth. Formerly she served as an advisor for the Southern NCSY Region, and then she returned to teaching in the Hebrew Day School system. At present she teaches in the NYC public school system.
Ruthie and Ethan are proud of all of their children and their spouses. YBH parents, Dr. Joshua and Adeena (Goldstein) Kra (herself an alumnus of YBH) represent another generation dedicated to Torah values and Torah education of their children. Dr. and Mrs. Kra are most appreciative of the midos and knowledge being transmitted to their grandchildren by YBH.
