When should I plan to arrive at Convention?
We suggest that you plan your arrival to allow you to optimize your Convention experience.
Hyatt Regency Schaumburg check-in begins at 4:00 pm Sunday, July 16.
Convention’s opening plenum will begin at 3:30 pm. The first pre-Convention session will begin at 1:00 pm. Judaica vendor shops will open at 10 am and close at 3:15 pm.
Shabbat begins at 8:07 pm in Schaumburg on Friday, July 14. If you plan to arrive at the hotel Friday, please plan to arrive at least an hour before Shabbat begins.
If you have registered for the optional Shabbaton, cars will be leaving the hotel for Kabbalat Shabbat services at 5:15 pm.
Which airport should I fly into?
Chicago O'Hare International Airport is the recommended airport—it is about 10 miles from the hotel. You may get better airfare rates if you fly into Chicago Midway International Airport, which is about 40 miles south of Schaumburg, but you could encounter significant traffic delays.
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
The cost of transportation from either airport varies based on the type of vehicle and the number of people in the vehicle. Your Women’s League Region Madricha can help you coordinate a ride from the airport.
Is there hotel parking?
Yes, there is ample free hotel parking available.
How do I find a roommate and travel buddies? Your Women’s League Region Madricha will assist with this and other arrangements. Your Madricha will maintain a list of delegates from your Region, when they will be arriving at airports, etc. Your Region will inform you of the name and contact information of your Madricha.
What is the Schaumburg, IL time zone?
Central Time Zone (CT).
What is the weather in the Chicagoland area in July?
It is warm and damp in Chicago in July. The average high is 82°F/28°C and it rarely drops below 70°F/21°C.
What is the Convention dress code?
Women’s League’s Convention dress code is business casual. We recommend that you pack travel-friendly clothes that do not crease easily and comfortable walking shoes for walking between sessions. We also advise dressing in layers.
What else should I pack for Convention?
We suggest that you bring one dressier outfit for the night of installation.
Bring a sweater. The temperature tends to run cold in the hotel.
If it is your custom, bring a tallit, tefillin, and head-covering for services.
Don’t forget to pack your cellphone charger and other electronics chargers!
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Accommodations can be made for many common dietary needs. Please include your needs when you complete your Convention registration.
What if I have accessibility questions?
The hotel is handicapped accessible. Make your needs known when you complete your Convention registration and your hotel registration.
Are there refrigerators in the rooms?
Every hotel room has a cooler, suitable for refrigerating medications and juice.
Is there free Wi-Fi in the hotel?
The hotel has free Wi-Fi in the guest rooms and in the public areas. Take note that due to the high demand for Wi-Fi that we expect during the Convention, we suggest that you use your data plan if you have unlimited cellular service.
Is there a drugstore nearby?
The nearest pharmacy is 5 miles away, and it does make deliveries. There is a gift shop and a newsstand in the hotel, but no pharmacy.

How much of Convention will be available for virtual attendees? What sessions will be live-streamed?

What if I need to cancel my Convention registration and/or hotel reservation?
Convention cancellations must be submitted in writing. All cancellations will be accessed a $200 fee. No refunds will be issued after June 30, 2023. Check the hotel’s website for its cancellation policy.
