Robert Shasha - The Cotswold Group
Robert grew up in Westchester County and still lives here! He received his BS in Economics and Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his MBA degree from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
His career began in international trading involving the supplying of raw materials to the textile industry. In 1982, he pivoted to commercial real estate which has been his focus since then. Robert formed The Cotswold Group, which is based in Harrison, NY, which owns and manages shopping centers and industrial buildings.
Robert was co-editor with Tamar Morad and Dennis Shasha of Iraq's Last Jews: Daily Life, Upheaval, and Escape from Modern Babylon, an oral history which was a finalist for the National Jewish Book award in 2008 and has been published in German, Hebrew, and Arabic.
Robert likes to support the world Jewish community as he believes it is very important for our survival of this “wonderful club.” He currently supports the UJA, the American Jewish Committee, The American Sephardi Federation, Friends of the IDF, StandWithUs, and the Israel Scholarship Education Foundation (ISEF).
Robert has two grandsons from son Jordan and daughter-in- law Oriah, and he is the father of David and father-in law of Eliana, and the father of Caroline.
