When and where is WJC Spring Fest – this year’s community FUNdraising event?
Sunday, June 9th at 4pm at Westchester Jewish Center, Rockland & Palmer Avenues, Mamaroneck, NY
What will I do at the event?
This event offers something for community members of all ages! Enjoy all the aspects from previous galas plus activities to celebrate our Mamaroneck home and rich Israeli culture:
- Unleash your love for Israel as you taste your way through a bustling “Shuk” market, enjoying an Israeli feast, arts, jewelry making and organized activities for all
- Go gaga for Gaga in our inaugural Gaga Tournament
- Raise a glass (or two!) in our L'Chaim Lounge
- Dance the day away with Israeli dance lessons and a live DJ
- Memorialize your day with a 360 Photo booth
- Supervised activities for our children of pre-school age through teens – Join in some activities with your kids, then drop them off and spend some time schmoozing with friends and meeting new ones.
We're constantly adding more exciting elements, so stay tuned!
There are several reasons for the fundraising event: we raise a sizeable portion of the money needed to support the many WJC programs loved by our community as dues only cover 32% of our budget; we recognize our honorees and thank them for their work; and it gives us a time to socialize together as a community.
I had fun at last year’s annual gala. Why is this year’s format different?
We’ve reimagined our annual FUNdraising gala for this year to expand the number of people who could participate. Our recent Strategic Plan indicated that we should look for opportunities to expand inclusivity and find events the entire community can enjoy together.
What do I wear?
Our theme is Israeli culture – so if you want to have some extra fun, dress as an Israeli would! In general, dress will be more casual than past WJC fundraising galas as we want everyone to be comfortable participating in the various activities.
Unfortunately, I have a conflict that day. Is there anything I can do to show my support for Westchester Jewish Center and the honorees?
