In a few weeks, we will gather for the 77th Anniversary Westchester Day School Dinner, which will take place on December 14, 2024. Please mark your calendars for what will surely be an exceptional evening filled with love, warmth, and tremendous ruach. 

 

This year’s dinner theme, מעט מן האור דוחה הרבה מן החושך - A small amount of light pushes away much darkness, perfectly captures the spirit of our honorees, reflecting their dedication to, and impact on, WDS.

 

Rachel and Sammy Groner and Pamela and Aaron Lauchheimer, our Guests of Honor, exemplify this expression in relation to their unwavering commitment to Judaism, education, community and Westchester Day School. All of their hard work and dedication have enabled WDS to be a light in all of our lives, even throughout a pandemic and Jewish heartache.

 

In addition, we will be awarding the Nediv Lev Award to Dena Ingerman and the Faculty Award to Ms. Jolanta Goldstein. Dena’s deep commitment to chesed and Jolanta’s dedication to her students, igniting in them a love of the arts, have added tremendous light and warmth into our school community. 

 

Our honorees exemplify what it means to give back to their community, always stepping forward to help. They have contributed immeasurably to the strength and vibrancy of WDS, ensuring that our school continues to be a source of light in our children's lives and the broader community. 

 

The Anniversary Dinner is not just an evening of celebration; it is also WDS’ largest annual fundraiser. Your generosity makes it possible to enhance our programs, support our dedicated faculty, and provide our students with exceptional educational opportunities.
