Marcy Jacobowitz & Todd Kessler
Parents of the Year
Marcy Jacobowitz and Todd Kessler met in Fire Island over 20 years ago and have been married for 15 years. Marcy graduated from University of Maryland as a Jewish Studies and Geriatrics major. She had the opportunity to intern on Capitol Hill for Senator Ron Wyden (D, OR) who was on the committee of aging while she was in school. She then moved back to NYC where she started a career in Project Management and HR. Marcy then changed her career and is currently teaching preschool at Temple Israel in Great Neck.
Todd graduated from Touro College where he has a dual Masters of Special Education and regular education for teaching. Todd currently teaches special education for the NYC Board of Education in District 75 (M169) on the Upper East Side. As a public school teacher, Todd was skeptical at first to put his son in a private Jewish day school…but that feeling changed day one: Schechter Queens is like family!
