Steven Thal

Steven Thal, a U.S. and German citizen, speaks German fluently and has been a visiting lecturer within the Faculty of Law at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Ruprecht-Karls -Universität Heidelberg. Steven received his J.D. and B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and also studied law at Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen in Germany as a Fulbright, DAAD and Ford Foundation Scholar. He is a frequent speaker in the United States, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria on various matters relating to international investments, corporate matters, and U.S. litigation issues. A principal at Offit Kurman, Steven has an extensive practice in international corporate and commercial transactions, with a particular concentration in U.S. and European cross-border transactions.
A Big Apple native who grew up in Washington Heights, Steven is a member of Park East Synagogue in Manhattan as well as a founding member of the Chabad of Ft. Lee. An active follower and supporter of the Chabad movement, he attends Chabad shuls when travelling and is proud to say he has visited Chabad Shuls in Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Rio, Frankfurt and Berlin. A proud Zionist and frequent visitor to Israel, Steven is thrilled that his son had his Bar Mitzvah at the Kotel in Jerusalem.
