The Sexual Rehabilitation and Treatment Clinic Renovation (with donor plaque)
Moshe Cohen, 77, was diagnosed with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) following the Yom Kippur war in 1973, when the tank he was commanding was struck by two sager missiles. For decades, Moshe has suffered from Hyperesthesia, an acute sensory sensitivity that has deprived him of physical intimacy and severely limited all his physical interactions. He was referred to Reuth by the Ministry of Defense in 2018, when he once again sought treatment because he was unable to endure the hugs of his grandchildren. At Reuth he was referred to the Sex Clinic for PTSD patients and then to the Complementary Medicine Clinic, both located on the campus of Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital. Remarkably, after just two and a half years of treatment at Reuth and close to 50 years of suffering, Moshe’s body is less stiff, and he can now tolerate touch throughout his body, as well as the caresses of his grandchildren. He travels outside his home more frequently, and his state of mind and mood are significantly improved.
