Reuth in the Community Center in Israel's periphery of Kiryat Gat opened last year and provided rehabilitation solutions for people who could not commute to the Center to receive such services. This year, despite the pandemic and its two prolonged lockdowns, the Center expanded its services to the residents of Kiryat Gat and the surrounding area with speech therapy and occupational therapy services for children. This is a true relief for parents and children, who are often required to wait for weeks for treatment and commute to one of the hospitals in the Center.

The treatments at Reuth Rehabilitation Center in the community are provided by a team of therapists who specialize in the fields and who currently work at Reuth Hospital in Tel Aviv. Occupational therapy treatments are provided for children who face a variety of difficulties, including attention and concentration, sensory regulation, developmental delay, fine motor skills and those who suffer from difficulty meeting tasks, organization and order. As part of the treatment, the parents and the child receive tools for easing the problem as well as tasks to perform at home, their natural environment.

Speech therapy treatments are intended for children dealing with language difficulty such as steering, message mixing, retrieval, oral expression, word and sentence organization. Also, for children who suffer from hearing loss and as a result the development of language is impaired. The service also includes diagnosis, which is one of the most sought after services among parents.
