The Israeli Paralympic Committee, parallel to the Israeli Olympic Committee, together with the Disabled Sports Association, are responsible for the competitive activities of para athletes, including tournaments in Israel and abroad such as the European Championships, World Championships and the Paralympic Games. The Paralympic committee finds, develops, and promotes athletes, in 16 sports including: para athletics, boccia, badminton, cycling, powerlifting, rowing, table tennis, wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, fencing, marathon, paracanoe, shooting, rugby wheelchairs, and swimming.
