Dear Janet,
You are the beloved of all the Holocaust survivors and families of survivors who have come under your loving care. My husband, Dr. Robert Berger, was a child survivor from Hungary, and was a pal of your father, also a child survivor. They both went through horrific struggles to escape the Nazi terror, and you and I of course inherited this legacy. You have turned the dreadful memories they shared into a gentle warm way of reaching out to help and heal the families that came to you through the organization of the American Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors. You are a blessing to all of us and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done to support us and work with us to make our lives brighter, healthier, and wiser.
