Ansen Ming Yin Tang Bio
My name is Ansen Ming Yin Tang. I was born in Hong Kong. My family and I immigrated to the United States for a better future. I love helping the community, that’s why I joined UCA 7 years ago. I am the President at United Chinese Association of Brooklyn. As a non-profit organization, our goal is to educate the Chinese community and bring everyone together. We provide senior and youth service to help them grow and offer many food drives and distribute PPEs for people in need. I feel accomplished for everything my organization has done for the community. Now United Chinese Association of Brooklyn established 4 locations to serve more clients in the community.
As anti-hate crime increased in 2020, I joined the NYPD 109 Precinct Auxiliary Police Officer to protect and communicate with the community. My goal is to ensure everyone is respected and safe. I love to volunteer and receive multiple rewards for the outstanding service I have performed. Also, I am a lion dancer for parades, grand openings and special events.
As a community leader, I am working to make sure the underserved and vulnerable populations in our communities can have reliable information, access to resources and access to services. As a small step in ensuring this progress, we are committed to helping people feel resourced, empowered, and heard.
At UCA, we believe in the power of community to transform lives. Our goal is not only to address immediate needs but also to build a foundation for long-term success and well-being. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your family, or looking to contribute to the betterment of our community, UCA is here to help. Together, we can continue to make Brooklyn a place where every individual can thrive.
