Dr. Justin (’04) and Elana (Kasztl ’04) Kohlhagen
Young Leadership Awardees
Justin and Elana (Kasztl) Kohlhagen attended the 'Yeshiva High School', where they met and graduated with the class of 2004. They have tremendous Hakarat HaTov for the love of Yiddishkeit that was instilled in them, the relationships they formed, and the amazing experiences they had during their high school years.
Elana was a passionate athlete on the volleyball and basketball teams during her high school career. This love for athletics has continued, with Elana now serving as the coach of the KYHS varsity girls' basketball team! Justin is a psychologist and currently serves as the Executive Director of JAFCO, an organization dedicated to providing critical family strengthening and social services to the Jewish community in South Florida and beyond. They both credit the time at YHS with instilling in them a profound sense of communal responsibility and a love of torah values that have guided them through their personal lives and professional careers.

The bonds formed at Yeshiva High School remain strong to this day, Justin and Elana count among their closest friends those they met during their time in high school. Their relationships with teachers and rebbeim have also endured, providing a sense of continuity and support throughout life's milestones.
Together, Justin and Elana are the proud parents of four incredible children: Ethan, Noah, Sarah, and Leah. If admitted, Ethan could be the first student with both parents who attended the Yeshiva High School, graduating with the class of 2029!
Justin and Elana are both incredibly grateful for this honor and the enduring gifts that the staff and leadership of KYHS/WYHS/YHS have given to them over the years.
