Hannah Rothschild
Distinguished Faculty Award
Hannah was raised in Lower Merion, initially in Bryn Mawr and then Bala Cynwyd. She attended Perelman Jewish Day School and Akiba Hebrew Academy, where she originally met her future husband, Tani Rothschild. She and Tani have three children, Yaniv, Ayal and Ava. Yaniv will be attending kindergarten at Kohelet next year. They live in the same neighborhood as both Hannah’s and Tani’s siblings and parents.

Hannah graduated from Towson University with a dual degree in elementary and special education and then earned a master’s degree from West Chester University in special education. Prior to coming to Kohelet, she taught elementary school in the public and private school systems in Baltimore and Philadelphia, and she was the lead teacher in the Bright Horizons Jewish preschool.

Before taking on her current role as Director of Inclusion for Kohelet Lab and Middle Schools, Hannah was the Inclusion Specialist in Kohelet’s K/1 classroom. Rooted in a commitment to inclusion education and a passion for Judaism, Hannah individualizes curriculum infused with Jewish values in order to promote the success and well-being of all students. Hannah loves being a part of a team that fosters imagination, curiosity, creativity, and independence as the core of not only academic excellence, but also an engaged life.
