Andrew J. Rubin is the oldest son of William and Thea Rubin and was born in Brooklyn and grew up in North Woodmere. He attended Lawrence High School and graduated from Syracuse University where he met his wife, Margery. Andrew and Margery have been married for forty-four years, have lived in Atlantic Beach for forty years, and have been members of JCAB for over thirty years. They have two children, David and Haley. David is married to Francesca and lives in Marina Del Rey, and Haley is married to Ian and lives in Philadelphia.
 
Andrew is a certified public accountant and was the outside accountant and financial consultant to the JCAB for over fifteen years. He served as a Trustee for the Village of Atlantic Beach for over twenty-five years, stepping down this year. His charitable and community involvements include Sunrise Association, Brain Injury Association, Lawrence Men’s Golf Club, Long Island Caddie Scholarship Fund, and the Village of Atlantic Beach Garden. Andrew is passionate about golf, music, his ‘79 Porsche Targa, family, friends, community and JCAB.
