For decades, Temma and Al Kingsley have been extremely generous supporters of the Zamir Choral Foundation and its programs. They are each esteemed leaders in their respective fields, bringing extensive expertise and dedication to their work. Moreover,

Temma and Al have played integral roles in the Jewish community, holding significant positions in Jewish education and the Conservative movement.

As an early childhood teacher, director and consultant, Temma's career has been devoted to Jewish education. She held various leadership positions, including board membership at Zamir Choral Foundation, The Board of Jewish Education (now known as the Jewish Education Project), president of the New York Jewish Early Childhood Association and the National Jewish Early Childhood Network, and as a member of the board of directors at the Davidson School at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Additionally, Temma served as vice chair of the Masorti Foundation board of directors. She also served as chair of the UJA Interboro Women’s campaign. Her passion for fostering quality Jewish education and her strategic insights continue to drive progress in a diverse array of learning initiatives.

Al's expertise in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance has made him a leader in high-level financial institutions. He was one of the earliest activist investors going back over forty years. He has held pivotal roles such as general partner at Greenway Partners, L.P., president of Greenbelt Corp., senior vice-president at Icahn and Company and its affiliated entities, and chairman of the board at Lineage Cell Therapeutics. Al's commitment to ensuring organizational success through strategic vision and effective management practices underscores his leadership in the financial sector. He has been an officer and director of The Board of Jewish Education and a board member of UJA Federation and at List College at Jewish Theological Seminary. Temma and Al raised their children and still live in Forest Hills, Queens. For over the past fifty years, they have been instrumental in helping build and sustain their synagogue, the Forest Hills Jewish Center, as donors, board members and board officers, including Temma’s term as its first woman president,
