Dr. Marsha Bryan Edelman is currently conductor of HaZamir Long Island, but her tenure with HaZamir goes back to 1995, when she established the HaZamir Philadelphia chapter which she conducted until this year.  In addition to her work with HaZamir (and two adult choirs that she also conducts), Marsha has served the Zamir Choral Foundation in a variety of musical, educational and administrative roles since 1971.  She has written and lectured extensively on the nature and history of Jewish music (including her book, "Discovering Jewish Music") and her choral arrangements have been performed across the US and in Israel.
