Jackie Blanken
The Ahavat Chesed AwardLoving-Kindness
From her warm smile to her scrumptious treats, Jackie seeks to help our community feel “at home” by cooking up creative events, fun outings, and delicious food. And it fits. After all, Jackie is nearly a lifelong member; she joined Har Shalom at age 6 with her family, Robert, Wendy, and Matt Rosenblatt - and is now raising her children, Sophie, Simon, and Ellie here with her husband, Bryan.
Along with serving on the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and various committees, Jackie was a co-chair of the ECC Silent Auctions raising more than $100,000 over four years, launched the annual Kiddush Cup golf tournament, and served on the planning committee of the 1st Annual Har Shalom Gala.
Jackie is deeply committed to the Jewish community and its survival, serving on the Next Generation board for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the alumni board for the Bullis School, which her children attend.
