Andrew "AJ" Stolusky
Beth Israel
Andrew (AJ) Stolusky grew up in the DC area where his family was and remains a member of B’nai Israel in Rockville, MD. He was Bar Mitzvah'd at the shul, participated in post confirmation, minyanaires, and USY. He was also active in BBYO.
As a father with two young daughters in the pre-school and Hebrew school at Beth Israel in Owings Mills, his first experience with the brotherhood was volunteering to help build the sukkah and he hasn’t looked back. Larry Waskow was instrumental in deepening his involvement with the brotherhood. He invited AJ and several other guys to dinner to talk about the Brotherhood, the importance of the men in our shul and the long-term success of it, as well as how we could serve within the Brotherhood in different roles. AJ worked on programming, member recruitment, sukkah building, joined the board and eventually served two terms as President. This past year, he added ‘kitchen crew’ to his experiences. He is also a current member of the Beth Israel board.
Professionally, Andrew has worked on the administrative side of the healthcare field for 30 years and is currently the Regional Director of Managed Care with Universal Health Services. He selected the healthcare field because “he enjoys helping others”. He experiences that connection daily in his contracting role, which enables patients to receive medically necessary mental health and substance abuse services.
Andres is a graduate of Ithica College with a Masters from George Washington University. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Owings Mills, MD.
