Aaron Weinberg
B'nai Shalom of Olney
Aaron and his wife Stacey live in Olney, MD with their three children Jacob, Aspen and Zach. They joined B’nai Shalom of Olney in 2010. Aaron grew up in Princeton, New Jersey. Large Shabbat dinners surrounded by friends and family were the norm in his house. Aaron, along with his parents and two siblings, was very active at The Princeton Jewish Center. He learned at an early age about the value of being a member of, and volunteering in, the Jewish community. Aaron spent his summers at Camp Ramah in the Poconos and his high school years in USY.
Aaron moved to Maryland to attend university and returned to Camp Ramah in the Poconos to work as a videographer over the summer. There, in 1997, he met Stacey. Three years later they were married and moved to Olney. Their children attended preschool at BSO and then continued on to Hebrew school, at which point Aaron and Stacey joined synagogue committees to increase their engagement. Aaron began volunteering with the Religious Committee and eventually took over as chair. Ever the overachiever, he has had many different roles through the years and is currently the VP of Religious Affairs, High Holy Days planning chair, technology chair, and helps with the building committee.
Aaron is the Director of Technology at Installnet, a project management company in the office furniture industry.
Aaron is honored to be recognized by the BSO Men’s Club to receive the Blue Yarmulke Person of the Year Award.
