Alan Isenberg, together with his wife Lisa, has been a member of B’nai Israel since 1986. He is a regular participant in our minyan, particularly on Saturday and Sunday, and a gabbi for the Shabbat mincha service. Alan enthusiastically assists our clergy with teaching about tefflin to our 6th grade students. Alan helps in preparing food for many Men’s Club events, delivers surplus to a local men's shelter and assists in recycling kitchen materials. He is active in our Men’s Club, where he helps to organize the annual Health Fair and has presented “ A Guide to Genealogy Discovery “ at a dinner and speaker event. Lisa and Alan enjoy attending the L.I.F.E. Lecture Series, which they help to sponsor.
Professionally, Alan has been a community pharmacist for more that 43 years, licensed in four states. He is also a member of the American Philatelic Society and the Jewish Genealogy Society of Greater Washington.
Inn their spare time, Alan and Lisa enjoy shepping nachas and spending time with their son Adam, his wife Stacy and their granddaughter, Jordan, who live in Potomac, and their son Daniel, his wife Miriam, and their other granddaughters Meira and Elana, how live in Hunt Valley, Md.
