Michael Auerbach grew up in Silver Spring, MD, where both of his parents were active members 
of Temple Emanuel. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Michael stayed in the local area and has had a career with the federal government, where he is currently a senior level manager at the Department of Labor.

 

Michael (and his wife Vivienne) have been members of Shaare Tefila Congregation for thirty years. Over that period, Mike has served: on the relocation committee for Shaare Tefila’s move
to Olney, two terms as Treasurer and is currently in his second term as Financial Vice President.

In addition, Mike helps his wife in the shul kitchen as she oversees the monthly Shabbos dinners.  Michael’s children are graduates of Shaare Tefila’s pre-school and religious schools and had their b’nai mitzvah at the shul.
