Frankel Family
Aron z”l and Miriam Frankel were Holocaust survivors who arrived in Canada with nothing. They had a steadfast determination to rebuild the communities they lost, and believed that chesed and philanthropy were central to achieving this goal. They established shuls, Jewish day schools, yeshivas and other institutions rooted in their core values. Miriam was an integral part of Emunah’s Leah Kidron chapter, while Aron z”l focused on a broad array of charitable endeavours in Toronto and Israel. Their daughter, Esty Frankel Edell, continues their legacy in her ongoing involvement with charitable organizations both locally and in Israel, and their granddaughter, Ahuva Edell, served as Emunah President, extending the Frankels’ commitment to building vibrant Jewish communities.
