Margaret Murtagh
Grand Marshal
 
Born in the Bronx, New York to Patrick and Kathleen Reilly from Tullamore, Co. Offaly and Bantry Co. Cork respectively. She spent many summers in Ireland with her cousins and family; those are her most special memories.
 
She graduated from Our Lady of Refuge Grammar School in the Bronx and then when her family moved to Yonkers, she attended Lincoln High School. She then graduated from The College of New Rochelle and has been a nurse for over 35 years. She loves the profession of nursing and has enjoyed working in many different roles throughout her career. She is currently working at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Westchester.
 
She married Patrick Murtagh from Ballivor, Co. Meath in 1990 and they moved to Eastchester in 1991. They have 4 children Thomas, Rory, Julie and Tricia.
 
She has volunteered over the years in the various PTA’s and helped with organizing many school events. She has been involved in the Oakridge Neighborhood Association and has been a teacher in the Parish School of Religion at Immaculate Conception School in Tuckahoe.
 
Margaret has been a member of EIASC for over 25 years; holding positions of Vice President and President and currently as Trustee. She has been on many committees throughout the years and has made wonderful lasting friendships.
