Brenda Nangle-Geraghty was born in Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville to Larry and Nora Nangle the youngest sibling to Larry and Brian Nangle.  Brenda's dad was a proud Carlow man and her mom a proud Galway woman.

 

The family settled in Eastchester in 1966.  The same year the EIASC was founded by Larry Nangle. Brenda grew up in Eastchester and has been embraced in the club since birth.   Brenda went to Immaculate Conception School then attended our Lady of Victory Academy High School and then Berkeley College in White Plains.  Brenda resides with her children close by Conor, Kayla and Graham in Tuckahoe.  

 

Always being a part of Irish heritage Brenda went to the Early-McLoughlin School of Irish Dancing from a very young age and where most of her close friends met. Did a quick stint with the Accordion to realize not musically inclined.   Raised like most Irish Americans grew up going to Ireland in the Summer or spending summers in East Durham. and Listening to WFUV on a Sunday.  A very simple life but was fortunate to have wonderful and loving parents and has memories to last a lifetime   Especially memories of the EIASC   Going to Yonkers on the bus to March in the St Patrick's day parade. Our family friends were mainly based around the families of the club.  Which I'm very fortunate to say the same for me and my children's friends.  I was fortunate enough to meet Anne Hendry and be a part of her dancing school.  I enjoyed many years of teaching dancing along with Maggie then Kevin and Liz and Siobhan.  Another great group that is part of this club and parade and a huge part of the Town of Eastchester.  

 

As her children grew Brenda went back to school to WCC and now works in White Plains Hospital OR.   Now that Conor and Kayla have graduated college and are now working, and Graham is getting ready to Graduate Iona in May Brenda   plans on being more involved with the Club and trying to bring in younger families so hopefully they have the same as her and family have had.  It's all about meeting nice families.   James who is a big part of Brenda's life knew there was a little club she was involved in.  Also, she would only be President for a short while.   Well, she lied and Conor Kayla and Graham as well as James know this is a big part of her life and it may keep her from doing certain things but it's for Larry and Nora's Legacy.
