I received a Bachelor of Science in Education from the City College of New York although I never did teach. Instead, I worked for an accountant and did bookkeeping for many years. After I graduated from college, I spent six months in Israel living with my aunts and uncles. I continued traveling to Israel by myself in addition to taking two trips with the three rabbis from ICCJ, Hillcrest, and Hollis Hills.

My husband Joseph and I were married for 62 years and had two children, a boy Marvin, whose wife is Sherri, and a girl Dorothy, whose husband is Eric. We had six grandchildren and I now have 1 great grandson. My husband and I traveled to Israel every other year for many years to visit relatives and to sightsee, before he became ill. We also were able to make stopovers in London, Paris, and Rome.

My life has been greatly enriched by my participation in synagogue and Sisterhood activities and I hope that my volunteering in the many areas that I did was of some benefit to the synagogue. At 95 years old, I just hope to continue as usual for as long as is possible.

I have been Torah Fund Chair, Purim Sameach Chair, Kiddush and Catering Chair, and President of Sisterhood three times. I have also been financial and recording secretary and treasurer of the Congregation as well as on the Rabbi search committee twice and on the merge committee.

I have made many wonderful friends during my long association with ICHM and ICCJ.
