Wende Jager-Hyman has been a member of Temple Beth Sholom and its Sisterhood for the last 35 years. Wende is a member of the Sisterhood Board, Facilitator of Sisterhood’s Rosh Hodesh and Book Club programs, Chair of the Meet the Author Night that Sisterhood co-sponsors with the Sid Jacobson JCC and has also been our Program Vice President.

 

Wende strongly believes in our obligation as Jews to work to make this a better world. She is currently the Chair of the Temple Social Action Committee. She is dedicated to helping women achieve the leadership positions that they deserve. As Executive Director of a women’s educational organization, Wende has spent many years working with non-profit organizations and corporations to bring leadership training and practical skills to women throughout the country. 

 

Wende is the proud wife of Arnold Hyman, mother of 3 wonderful children, Joie, Shari, and Jonathan, all of whom grew up at Temple Beth Sholom, and the grateful grandmother of 6. Joie and her husband Josh have a son Henry and a daughter Simone. Shari, married to Josef; have a daughter Billie and a son Alex. Jonathan is married to Lauren; their children are son Sonny and daughter Teddi.
