Shari, a graduate of NYU’s Stern School of Business, was born and raised in the Bronx, 

 

She and her husband, Larry, reside in Centerport where they have raised their two daughters, Hayley and Nicole, who are currently attending college.

 

Shari had a 40-year distinguished career working as an Employee Benefits Consultant in the insurance industry, assisting clients in researching, negotiating, and implementing employee benefit plans.

 

Stressing Jewish values has always been of utmost importance to her, and she has demonstrated that in her commitment and volunteerism. Shari has donated her time, intellect and energy to a number of religious and charitable causes, including alleviating hunger and involvement with women’s cancer support organizations.

 

Shari was an active member of HJC’s Board of Trustees for six years, taking part in important board initiatives. She also served as secretary of the Religious School Board while her children were growing up and as the parent director of HJC’s Youth Group.

 

Currently, Shari is a very involved and significant member of Huntington Jewish Center’s Sisterhood. She is Vice President in charge of Membership. She is also a member of the Sisterhood Programming Committee, Purim Fundraising Committee, and was recently named coordinator and manager of the Levy Donation Fund which is managing the renovation of the HJC kitchen.
