Samantha Berman-Melendez
CongregationB'nai Sholom-Beth David
Samantha has been chosen as Congregation B’nai Sholom-Beth David’s honoree because she is a dedicated and valued member of our Sisterhood Board who volunteers her time and talents enthusiastically and capably. She expertly conceives and coordinates events such as a Judaica Shop Chanukah sale coordinated with Jewish Learning Center students and caters the Oneg on Sisterhood Shabbat. Samantha photographs our events, after which she promptly posts a photo-essay. She brings her special touch to all she does.
Samantha joined Congregation B’nai Sholom-Beth David in 2015 with her husband, Brandon, and two children, Jeremy Stone and Ayla Grey. They attend South Side Middle School and are looking forward to their B’nai Mitzvah in September. Samantha and her family moved to Rockville Centre shortly after they married in 2009 and have been active members of the community ever since.
Samantha has worked as a psychotherapist since graduating from NYU in 2007 and is thrilled to serve the Long Island and Queens communities. As well as being an active congregant, Samantha serves as Vice-President on the Board of Trustees, Co-Chair of the Catering Committee, member of the Fundraising Committee, as well as Liaison to the Jewish Learning Center on the Sisterhood Board.
We are fortunate to have Samantha as part of our Sisterhood and are delighted to honor her as a Woman of Achievement.
