Ruth Zelman and her husband, Gary, were married at Shelter Rock Jewish Center and have been members for much of their adult lives. Ruth served as President of Sisterhood and continues to lead the synagogue’s Shalach Manot Purim Program with co-honoree, Nancy Goldstein. Ruth and Nancy also lead the decorating of the largest and most beautiful Sukkah on Long Island. 

 

Ruth served the Shelter Rock community as a beloved teacher in the Early Childhood Center for over 15 years and has recently retired. Ruth and Gary have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Congratulations to Ruth on her well-deserved honor of being named a Woman of Achievement.
