Rabbi Gayer is in his 10th year working with BCGW.  He works daily with patients and their families listening to their stories, assessing their needs, and coordinating with volunteers to make sure that the needs are met. Often collaborating with local Rabbis to help meet the needs of their congregants.

As the staff chaplain he makes visits to Jewish patients in two local hospitals and maintains partnerships with the chaplaincy departments in close to a dozen local hospitals. He works together with them to ensure the religious needs of Jewish patients.  

Rabbi Gayer runs the friendly visitor program of BCGW, arranging visits for dozens of people in facilities, private homes and hospitals.

He also leads BCGW's Senior Social Club, a virtual holiday get-together for Jewish seniors in the community.
