Marsha Liss
Volunteer Impact Award

Marsha B. Liss began volunteering with BCGW after two successful careers, initially as a professor of Developmental Psychology in California and then as an Attorney in the US Department of Justice.  As a BCGW volunteer, Marsha delivers meals to patients in hospitals and rehab facilities as well as to patients recovering at home.  She also visits patients in hospitals (especially at Children’s Hospital), and sometimes stocks the Creeger BIkur Cholim House and the kosher pantries.  Marsha delivers shabbat and holiday materials to area hospital chaplains for their Jewish patients.  In her spare time, Marsha volunteers at the Georgetown Hospital NICU, is a public member of a Montgomery County Committee and is on the JNF Women for Israel regional steering committee as well as active in her synagogue Congregation Beth El of Montgomery County. But Marsha’s most proud accomplishment is being a mother to two awesome sons.
