Finally!  After a three-year hiatus, we’re coming together to celebrate.  And who better to celebrate than Scott & Sara Harris, Judy Margolin & Seth Schwartz, and Mark Paul?
 
Scott & Sara Harris are the dynamic duo.  Sara helps new members find an on-ramp into our community through her leadership of the membership committee.  She leyns.  She reads haftarah.  She does it all- backwards, in heels.  Scott’s shepherding us through our Rav Chesed renovation (his second full-time job) in addition to serving on the board of trustees.  Do you appreciate meeting the clergy in a sun-filled office rather than a rabbit warren?  Enjoying our coat room?  Thank Scott.
 
Judy Margolin & Seth Schwartz are leaders in M’at and in the larger kahal.  Judy has served on our finance committee, the Rav Chesed steering committee, the board of trustees, the executive committee, the M’at troika, and the M’at chesed committee.  Judy is unflappable, wise, considerate.  Seth is a mainstay of the M’at community- a stalwart davener, leyner and gabbai.  He is M’at’s relief pitcher, always ready to step out of the bullpen at a moment’s notice.  Seth and Judy met their beshert when Judy attended a lecture Seth gave at Ansche Chesed and M’at friends sprang into action!
 
Mark Paul tirelessly served as our president for three years.  His mission?  To bring joyful Judaism to Ansche Chesed, which he managed to do even in the most un-joyful of times.  We’re a more welcoming place thanks to Mark, reflecting his own gentle & kind neshama.  He kept our boat afloat during a once-in-a-century pandemic, maintaining our fiscal health and keeping us together even when we couldn’t physically be together.  On a personal note, Mark has mentored me; he’s always available when I need some wise counsel.
 
Big shout out to Patty Goldman and Luciana Lederman, co-chairs of the tribute who are making the magic happen, as well as their creative, diligent collaborators:  Lisa Gersten, Brigitte Gold, Kathy Kendall, Sara Krulwich, Greg Litt, Elana Rosenberg, David Shapiro, and Roberta Shapiro.
