The Event
We’re excited to be celebrating our 19th Annual Dinner of Champions, which provides funding for the JCCGW’s nationally-recognized inclusion programs. This year, Jerry Bookin-Weiner, Brett Haber, Mike Jeffries, Michael Leener and The Honorable Paul H. Weinstein will be inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame. The Hyman M. & Philip D. Perlo High School Athlete Award will be presented to Jordan Bass, Leah Dagen and Ryan Streger.  In addition, in lieu of giving the Abe Pollin Humanitarian Award, we will present a tribute to Mr. Abe Pollin, who received the first Humanitarian Award in 1999.  
 
Why
At the JCCGW, individuals with special needs are included in everything so that, just like any other child, teen or young adult, they have the opportunity to shine. Our special needs programs include:
  • Camp JCC, our acclaimed summer camp where children with a wide range of abilities play alongside their siblings
    and friends;
  • Camp Kochavim, a fun and instructive summer camp for teens and young adults;
  • Tikvah and Hevra, social groups for young adults with a range of disabilities; and
  • The Gudelsky Exceptional Swim Program for children, teens and adults with physical disabilities
The Dinner of Champions raises the funds required each year to support these programs. Your support is essential for their continuing success.
